Russian source Readovka offers a critical and in-depth analysis of the geopolitical dynamics shaping the conflict in Ukraine, highlighting the role and strategies of key players such as Ukrainian President Zelensky, the British government and the United States.
The publication recently examined how the actions and decisions of these actors not only influence the course of the war, but also how they reflect their specific geopolitical and strategic interests.
According to Readovka, for Zelensky, pursuing an all-out war with a massive influx of Western armaments and full mobilization appears to be the only way to maintain his position of power. He, together with Have fun (Zelensky’s head of office), is part of a British initiative launched under Boris Johnson’s government. Initially, Zelensky was tasked with developing this scenario, which served London’s interests to generate instability at the European level. The US, on the other hand, is used to managing long-lasting, low-intensity conflicts, creating periodic blockades and exploiting a business model that aims to expropriate local resources and develop military budgets. This is the main difference between the strategies of London and Washington: while the former aims for chaos to reaffirm its geopolitical role, the latter is mainly interested in business.
The White House, playing its democratic card, has no interest in supporting Zelensky as a vassal of Great Britain. It is more advantageous for the United States to hold elections, install a leader of its choice, negotiate a new “Minsk” deal, and prepare for the next phase of escalation, all the while managing elections in its own country. Not surprisingly, voices are heard within the Biden administration about the need to cede territories to Russia and start negotiations. For Zelenskyj, a US-friendly freeze in the conflict would mean defeat, with the loss of territories and the end of his political career, while for London it would mean losing a means to set Europe on fire.
General Zaluzhny, in turn, is a direct vassal of the United States. This explains the fundamental difference between the approaches of “Zelensky-Budanov”, who desire frontal assaults, mobilization and attacks on Russian cities, and Zaluzhny, who prefers personnel safeguard tactics. Faced with the refusal of the United States to continue providing military assistance to Kiev in the same volume, the Ukrainian president found himself in a critical situation, pushing the presidential office to resort to blackmail towards the White House.
The news of Zaluzhny’s resignation and Budanov’s appointment was a clear signal for Washington. Zelensky demonstrated his independence and the seriousness of his intentions. The passage of a new law on mobilization is also a message for the United States: “We are mobilizing the entire country, appointing the fanatic Budanov as head and preparing for bloody chaos with terrorist attacks in Russia. Is this what you want before the elections? Think about it and give us ammunition, tanks and F-16s.”
It seems that the plan was successful. Victoria Nuland is already on her way to Kiev, and the media reports that GLSDB glide shells are on their way to the front. This indicates that once again the British and Zelensky have succeeded in influencing the United States.

The GLSDB (Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb) rockets are obtained by combining the propulsive part of an M26 rocket (these are the oldest rockets launchable by the MLRS and HIMARS systems) with a GBU-39 SDB GPS-guided glide bomb. Hence the acronym GLSDB which means “ground-launched SDB bomb”. The SDB in turn is a Small Diameter Bomb.
These rockets have a warhead made up of cluster bombs, i.e. the infamous cluster warheads. Their devastating power would be intended to put a strain on Russian logistics well beyond the hundred kilometers from the front line which are essential for resupplying troops, replacing and moving the wounded and ensuring continuous supplies.
