Although the range of human rights violations committed by Russian forces in Ukraine since the invasion in early 2022 is very wide, Pablo de Greiff, member of the UN Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine, highlights in this interview for RFI ‘ the typical landscapes of the Second World War due to the complete destruction of entire blocks of residential areas’ and the ages of the victims of sexual violations: from 4 to 83 years old, a ‘horrifying’ range. Furthermore, the frequency with which victims’ families were forced to witness these acts is ‘indescribable,’ he says.
