Ukraine has identified more than 600 Russian war crimes suspects and is prosecuting 80 of them, Kiev’s top lawyer said Tuesday.
The list of suspects includes “Russia’s top military, politicians and campaign agents,” Attorney General Irina Venediktova told a news conference in The Hague.
Venedikova said Estonia, Latvia and Slovakia had decided to join the International Commission of Inquiry in Ukraine, originally formed in March by Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland, to facilitate the exchange and investigation of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Venedikova said international support was essential for Ukraine’s efforts to investigate all possible war crimes.
