“I assured our soldiers that Ukraine does not plan to trade territories or a Minsk-type agreement. It doesn’t matter what they write in the newspapers,” Sibiha said on Facebook.
“It’s absolutely a strong position for the president, and he’s going to present things in Washington that will certainly strengthen our soldiers,” he added.
The German newspaper “Bild” previously claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was ready to offer Russia a ceasefire on part of the front.
The publication assumed that Zelenskiy will travel to the United States in the coming weeks to present his strategy to President Joe Biden and presidential candidates Kamal Harris and Donald Trump.
Zelensky is going to present the US side with a plan that includes both the requirement to allow the use of Western weapons for long-range strikes in Russia and “Ukraine’s readiness to accept a local ceasefire in some parts of the front – and thus temporarily freeze the situation,” the publication said.
Zelensky’s adviser Dmytro Litvins, commenting on the “Bild” version, described it as “fake news”.
