The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran has submitted his resignation to the Verkhovna Rada, reports “Unian” with reference to the representative of the government in parliament Taras Melnichuk.
“Defense Minister Andrei Taran has submitted a letter of resignation to the Verkhovna Rada,” writes Unian.
The agency notes that ex-minister for the reintegration of the occupied territories Alexei Reznikov is applying for the post of head of the military department.
According to the press secretary of the Servant of the People faction, Yulia Paliychuk, the faction supported the decision of the President of Ukraine regarding the candidacy of Oleksiy Reznikov for the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
