Hollywood actor Sean Penn has won the best actor Oscar for the film ‘Mystic River’ in 2003 and for the film ‘Milk’ in 2008.
American actor Sean Penn has been vocal in support of Ukraine since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.
During this time, he met the President of Ukraine Zelensky and presented him with an Oscar he had.
He said he gave it as a token of Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia.
When the Russian offensive began in February of this year, Sean Penn met Ukrainians while they were waiting in line at the Polish border and posted a video on Twitter.

Not only has he given Zelensky the Oscar he is currently receiving, he has also said he will take it back after Ukraine wins the war with Russia.
