Singers from the Ukrainian Village Voices ensemble enchanted a large crowd at Emmanuel Episcopal Church on Sunday. They performed a dozen songs, ranging from seasonal tunes to lyrical pieces, many originating from rural Ukraine and centuries old. This performance marked the latest event in the popular Sunday Soundscapes series, organized by Friends of the Weston Library.

This engaging performance also signaled the conclusion of the series’ second season. The upcoming third season is set to launch in September, featuring the acclaimed chamber ensemble Canta Libre.

Adding to the excitement, violinist Jason Yanick and his jazz combo are slated to return in November by popular demand. They previously captivated audiences two years ago.

The Sunday Soundscapes series is celebrated for its diverse musical offerings. Friends of the Weston Library welcome donations at each event to ensure the continuation of these programs. Contributions are vital, and larger donations are especially appreciated. Donations can also be made online.

For those who missed the live event, a short video offers a glimpse into the program, including a heartwarming singalong moment.
