The Cuban comedian Ulises Toirac He showed on his social networks the garbage dump in Miramar, Havana, evidence of how this problem persists on the island without the dictatorship doing anything about it.
Through his Facebook profile, the comedian posted a photo in which it can be seen how the garbage dumps are full due to the accumulation of garbage, apparently because there is no effective collection program that causes the streets to be full of trash.
“If this is Miramar,” wrote Ulises Toirac in his publication.
The post sparked reactions from Cubans, who took the opportunity to show how their neighborhoods are filled with garbage, making it clear that the accumulation of waste is a problem that extends throughout the island.
“The whole island is like this. A country that wants to live off of tourism. From the moment foreigners arrive, the airport itself has no air conditioning and dirty bathrooms and even no water. From there on, wherever you go, it’s a garbage dump or a landslide.”commented Michy Penado.
“Ulises, that is CUBA, every corner where there are containers is that disaster, we have gone for 3 months without collecting the containers in GÜINES,” added Ana María Pérez.
“This is how Havana is. It is disgusting and shameful. I would like for you to see how Lawton is. But no one cares,” said Mayi San Vega.
