Uljin-gun has stepped up its efforts to strengthen communication with all generations, from children to the elderly. Uljin-gun, which operates its administration with the happiness of its citizens as its top priority, is carrying out ‘Civilian Service Day’ with the belief that listening to the voices of its citizens directly and reflecting them in its administration is the beginning of a truly service-oriented administration.

Uljin County (Governor Son Byeong-bok) continues to communicate with citizens in various fields through ‘Citizen Service Day.’

And from the 27th to the 28th, we met with citizens of various ages, from the elderly to children, at various places such as the All Together Care Center, the community center, and the barefoot walking site.

First, to communicate with children, we visited the Together Care Center in Uljin and Hupo and spent time taking care of the children and talking to them directly.

The Together Care Center is comprised of 20 children aged 6 to 12 (elementary school students), and provides child protection, homework guidance, meals, and snacks.

Uljin County Governor Son Byeong-bok personally looked after the children and enjoyed board games and Lego play together during playtime. In the lecture that followed, he explained to the children at their level about ‘having good habits,’ ‘the importance of hydrogen in the face of the climate crisis,’ and ‘the future of Uljin County,’ using materials specially produced for children, and had a Q&A session.

County Governor Son Byeong-bok, who has a special affection for the education of children who will lead the next 100 years of Uljin, donated 50 books from Youngjin.com to each of the Uljin and Hupo Together Care Centers for the Uljin Education 100-Year Plan.

In addition, we explained to the children the importance of greetings and etiquette, and we also had time to promote and practice the ‘Greeting First Campaign’ being implemented by the military.

On the 28th, together with the Hupo Together Care Center, we visited Geum-eum 2-ri and Jungyul Senior Center, had a meal with the elderly, and spent a pleasant time checking on each of them to see if they were uncomfortable or needed anything, and asking about their well-being.

In addition, I participated in the Hupho Beach Barefoot Walking Program, listened to a lecture on barefoot walking, walked along the beach with local residents, and had a time of communication in a comfortable atmosphere.

Uljin County Governor Son Byeong-bok said, “Meeting many citizens in the field makes me realize once again the importance of each and every person doing their best in their respective positions.” He added, “The 8th elected Uljin County is striving to practice proactive administration and service-oriented administration that does not neglect even the smallest voices by reaching out to the citizens. We will continue to do our best to create wide-ranging opportunities for communication and realize a citizen-centered administration that all generations can relate to.”
