Meanwhile, Uljin-gun (Governor Son Byeong-bok) is making efforts to form a tight welfare network to prevent vulnerable groups from being left out ahead of the year-end and New Year holidays.
In particular, the daily care service, which provides care services for young people and middle-aged people aged 19 to 64, supports welfare blind spots that have not received appropriate services due to existing standards, which is a great help in forming a comprehensive welfare system.
This service eliminates income restrictions and applies individual burdens differently, so anyone who needs help with daily life due to illness or isolation can use the service.
You can flexibly apply for basic services such as home care and housework from 12 to 72 hours a month. Recently, service providers visited the homes of those receiving services, found deceased people, and helped them return to their families. There are also cases, and it is effectively serving as a preemptive window to eliminate welfare blind spots.
Daily care services are widely welcomed as an essential system for young people and middle-aged people who need temporary help due to injury or illness.
In particular, in the case of the meal nutrition management service, which is a specialized project, you can receive support for the delivery of packed lunches or side dishes eight times a month, which is effective in preventing diseases caused by nutritional imbalances and is also showing a notable effect in preventing feelings of isolation in households alone through regular visits by providers.
In addition, the hospital accompaniment service is receiving a lot of response from patients as the providers provide transportation support when receiving treatment at a distant hospital and are skilled in assisting with complex procedures related to hospital treatment.
Daily care services can also be provided to young people and middle-aged people aged 19 to 64, as well as family care youth aged 13 to 39 who are supporting sick family members.
It is a system designed to support those who have difficulty studying or economic activities to support their sick family members. It provides care services for the daily lives of young people by taking care of their sick family members while they are away from home due to study or work.
In addition to daily care services, an emergency care support project is also being implemented from 2024, and anyone can apply for this service with differential support for out-of-pocket expenses without income criteria.
However, recipients can receive care services within one month (72 hours per month) due to sudden illness or injury, immediately after discharge from the hospital, sudden absence of the primary caregiver, and during the processing period after applying for other services.
If you need care, you can visit the Uljin County Office Welfare Policy Department or a nearby town/myeon office or apply for consultation over the phone.
Uljin County Mayor Son Byeong-bok said, “It is expected that residents in need of care will be able to recover their daily lives and improve their quality of life by receiving services in a timely manner.” “I look forward to being able to live my daily life,” he said.
