The weekend was marked by violent demonstrations carried out by the ultra-right in protest over the death of 16-year-old Thomas, murdered on November 19 at a party in the Drôme region, in southeastern France. Extremists link the crime to the Muslim community, an accusation that has not been proven by the police. Nine young people, including three minors, were charged.
