Umaria: The BJP government in MP makes big claims of development in the state. On the basis of these claims, the BJP leaves no stone unturned in criticizing the previous Congress government. Apart from this, the Modi government at the center has opened the doors of the government treasury to provide basic things to every village. Despite this, a village in Umaria district is shedding tears for development even after 78 years of independence. Yes, we are talking about Dhanwahi village located in Umaria district, where development is far away.
Umaria district is known as tribal dominated area. Dhanwahi village is situated here, 5 km away from the district headquarters. Even after 78 years of independence, 108 ambulance is not able to reach the houses of this village. The husband has to carry the mother in his arms to the house. The villagers here have been waiting for a road for years. The problem here is not just of road. Even after so many years, people have not got the facility of toilets. The villagers are forced to go to the forest for defecation.
The ambulance left the woman in the middle of the road
The lack of roads in Dhanwahi can be gauged from the fact that recently an ambulance left a woman of the village midway. Actually, a pregnant woman from Dhanwahi village had given birth to a newborn in a hospital in Shahdol. She had to come to the village after the delivery. For this, the woman along with the newborn had to be dropped at her home with the help of 108 Janani Express. However, as soon as the ambulance came on the village road, it got stuck in the mud. After this, the ambulance left the woman on the middle of the road. In such a situation, the family members carried the pregnant woman in their lap and took her home. The grandmother took the newborn in her lap.
Nobody listens to us
Lalita Bai Yadav, a resident of Dhanwahi village, said that there is no road here. We are tired of talking to the Sarpanch. Our cattle and we get troubled in the mud. We have complained many times but no one listens to us. The villagers have informed the public representatives and the government administration about their problems many times, but the situation remains the same.
One has to go to the jungle to defecate
PM Modi had talked about building toilets in every village under the Swachh Bharat Mission. However, you will be surprised to hear what a girl from Dhanwahi village told you. According to the information received from the girl, toilets have not been built in this village yet. The elders, elderly, women and girls of the village have to go to the forest to defecate. There is always a fear of wild animals there.
Even after several decades of independence, the picture of villages and camps has not changed, the entire village is quenching its thirst with river water

Neither the government administration is alert about such problems. Nor are the public representatives paying attention to the living problems of the villagers. However, the minister in charge of the district and the Ajak Minister of the state government, Nagar Singh Chauhan, answered the questions of the media. The minister said that if such cases come to my notice, I will definitely take action.
