Umbria Cinema: great success of the second evening dedicated to entertainment

Great success for the second evening of Umbria Cinema, the Festival that is animating the squares of Todi and is coming to an end. The initiative is promoted by the Umbria Region, the Municipality of Todi, with artistic director Paolo Genovese, president of the Umbria Film Commission.

The evening of Saturday 14 September, hosted by Andrea Perroni and Greta Mauro, and with the musical accompaniment of the Orchestraccia, saw the presentation of the official Umbria Cinema awards to the films in Competition.

BEST FILM: “Confidenza” by Daniele Luchetti, an award presented by Rolando Ravello

BEST ACTRESS: Valeria Golino for “Te l’avevo detto” by Ginevra Elkann, which was presented by Francesca Summa

BEST ACTOR: Marco D’Amore for “Caracas”, awarded by Vittoria Puccini

BEST DIRECTION: Piero Messina for “Another End”, awarded by Nicoletta Ercole

BEST SCREENPLAY: Ginevra Elkann and Chiara Barzini for “I Told You”. The award was presented by Maddalena Raineri

BEST FIRST WORK: Margherita Vicario for “Gloria!”, which was collected by the protagonist Veronica Lucchesi (La Rappresentante di Lista), and delivered by Massimiliano Bruno

Actor Paolo Calabresi presented his book “All the men who are not. True story of a false identity”.

Comedian and presenter Max Giusti entertained and thrilled the audience for over an hour with his show “Bollicine”.

Among the collateral events of the Festival, in the afternoon the presentation of the book “Cento storie per cento canzoni” by Luca Barbarossa took place in the frescoed hall of the Pinacoteca Museum in the Town Hall, with an interview by the journalist Sonia Serafini.

The singer-songwriter also greeted the audience of Umbria Cinema by going up on stage in Piazza del Popolo during the evening.
