Riyadh: After Hajj, the Holy Umrah has been allowed again. The apps allow Saudis to perform Umrah from August 1 to 29. Earlier, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had stated that Umrah will be allowed from 1st of Muharram. Apply for permit through Tawakalna and Eathimarna apps. Only Umrah and Namaz at Rawla Sharif require prior permission. Earlier, the Iruharam office informed that permission is not required for prayers at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah and visits to Rawla.

For Hajj, non-pilgrims were not allowed to perform Umrah until June 23. Due to this, foreign pilgrims returning to their home countries were able to perform Umrah without any hindrances. Applications for Umrah from abroad are being accepted from July 14, but the timing of approval has not been specified. Saudi Arabia is targeting one crore pilgrims this Hijra year. Innovative systems have been put in place so that visas can be obtained and Umrah packages can be purchased online within minutes. Hajj Umrah companies and agents in foreign countries are also being activated.

More than 500 companies have been approved by the Ministry of Hajj Umrah for the service. More than 2000 agents are working in foreign countries. There are 34 online booking systems approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Umrah groups and individuals to sign contracts for Umrah packages on B2B and B2C systems.
