jpnn.comJAKARTA – The unilateral decision of the Acting General Chairperson of the PPP, HM. Mardiono, to send the PPP DPP management and their families on the Umrah pilgrimage does not show social and political sensitivity at a time when the party is in a slump due to the worst vote acquisition in history.

“This is clearly unethical and does not show social and political sensitivity. Therefore, we, as part of the PPP DPP management, reject activities that are disguised as worship,” said the Head of the PPP DPP for Youth, Thobahul Aftoni.

Toni said that the momentum of the event was really inappropriate amidst the atmosphere of deep concern among the PPP family over the chaotic condition of the party following the elections last February.

“In addition, currently many PPP cadres and administrators are disappointed with the DPP’s Pilkada policy, including those who were fired because they did not want to be forced to follow the DPP’s policy, why is this instead making a happy event that spends a lot of budget,” he added.

Therefore, Toni invited PPP cadres and administrators to question the real motive of the event as well as the source of its funding. Because it is clear that the cost of the activity did not come from the personal pockets of the administrators.

Toni appreciated the attitude of some PPP DPP administrators who firmly rejected activities that he suspected used election dowry funds and aimed to silence PPP DPP administrators so that they would remain silent regarding inappropriate policies.

“Umrah is sunnah, don’t forget what is obligatory,” concluded Toni.(ray/jpnn)
