Wishing Uzbekistan prosperity in light of the ongoing reforms the republic is witnessing, Al-Rabia said the visit is an extension of the historical ties between the two countries and will lead to many cooperation agreements in various fields.

The agreements between the two countries primarily reflect the great efforts of the leadership in serving Islam and Muslims and facilitating the procedures of Umrah pilgrims. Around 12,000 Uzbek pilgrims have reached Hajj Seenan since the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, the minister added.

Meanwhile, over 36,000 people from Uzbekistan have performed Umrah in the last two months. Most of them visited Madinah, prayed at Al-Rawda Al-Sharifah and visited the religious and historical sites of Madinah.

Al-Rabia’s visit witnessed several meetings with various officials to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in various fields and develop relations between the two countries.

Al-Rabi’a’s visit helped introduce officials to the electronic methods of obtaining visit and Umrah visas easily and quickly through the Noozuk platform.
The minister met with several Uzbek officials to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields and emphasize the deep-rooted bilateral ties.

Discussions during the visit also reviewed ways to improve strategic bilateral cooperation between the two countries to increase the quality of services provided to Umrah pilgrims from Uzbekistan. Issues including increasing the number of flights between the two countries were also discussed.
