New York: UN India supported the resolution brought by Russia against Nazi policy in the General Assembly. Russia’s resolution was passed with the support of 106 countries.

UN The Council has 6 committees namely International Security, Economic, Social, Cultural, Human Rights, Politics, Administration and Justice. A meeting of the Socio-Cultural-Human Rights Committee is held every year in November.

In this meeting, a vote will be held on the resolutions brought by the member states. According to this, a resolution was brought on behalf of Russia regarding the eradication of Nazism, modern Nazism and racism. Countries including Pakistan, North Korea, Syria, South Africa also prepared this resolution along with Russia. A detailed discussion was held on this and a vote was taken last Friday.

Indian Ambassador Rusira Kamboj participated in this meeting. Later, 106 countries including India voted in favor of Russia’s resolution. The resolution passed with a majority vote. 52 countries, including the United States, voted against. 15 countries did not participate in the referendum.

According to the government sources of the United States and European countries, “Russia has started a war against Ukraine claiming that modern Nazis are ruling the country. The Russian army has killed thousands of innocent people in Ukraine and made millions of people refugees. We voted against Russia’s decision to fake drama.”

Russian Foreign Ministry sources say, “The US and its allies support the policy of the Nazis. It is because of this that those countries have voted against the resolution against Nazi policy.”
