UN: massive but symbolic vote in favor of Palestinian accession

In a special session today on the conflict in the Middle East, the United Nations General Assembly voted this Friday, by a large majority, in favor of the Palestinians’ request for membership in the organization. Despite this, this resolution has above all a symbolic value given that the United States, Israel’s allies, threaten to veto the text in the Security Council.
