The audio-trailer launch of the film Ponniyin Selvan was held in Chennai last day. The big star cast of Tamil cinema world participated in the event. Poniyin Selvam is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s return to the big screen after a gap. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the first part of the film will hit the theaters on September 30. Along with Aishwarya, the big stars of South Indian cinema are lining up.

Aishwarya was present at the trailer launch of the film which will be released in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. The actress came in a simple look wearing a black kurta and matching jewellery. The audience applauded non-stop when the actor reached the stage. He shouted Aishwarya..Aishwarya. This sight was a proof that even after the end of the year, the adoration for Aishwarya has not decreased among the movie lovers.

Aishwarya, who was about to go to her seat after shaking hands with all the dignitaries in the audience, saw someone and couldn’t contain her joy, ran to him and hugged him. Aishwarya embraced the director Mani Ratnam who gave actress Aishwarya Rai to the film world.

Aishwarya was cast as the female lead for the first time in the 1997 film Iruvar by Manirthana. Later, Manirthanam gave Aishwarya an opportunity in the films Guru and Ravana. There were hints that Aishwarya came to the trailer launch after plastic surgery. The actress arrived at the Mumbai airport with her face covered.

Ponniyin Selvan is the most awaited Mani Ratnam film in the Indian film world. The film is based on the historical novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Trisha and Vikram with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The movie stars Karthi, Jayamravi, Sarath Kumar and Aishwarya Lakshmi. In Mani Ratnam’s dream movie Ponniyin Selvan, Aishwarya is playing the role of Pazhvoor Rani Nandini.
