Villahermosa, Tabasco.- The Autonomous University of Chiapas recognizes and celebrates the institutional effort of the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco (UJAT), for the organization of its International Book Fair, a space from which culture, reading and transmission are promoted of knowledge, said rector Carlos Faustino Natarén Nandayapa.
At the inauguration of this event, where he accompanied the governor of Tabasco, Carlos Manuel Merino Campos, and the rector of the UJAT, Guillermo Narváez Osorio, in the presidium, he said that UNACH joins these activities that show a genuine interest in bringing the new generations, the texts that strengthen their professional and personal training.
In her message, witnessed by the director of the DIF System of Tabasco, Guadalupe Castro de Merino, and the Cuban ambassador to Mexico, Marcos Rodríguez Costa, she stressed that the current times faced by higher education in our country and the increasing presence of new technologies, give more value and merit to this type of meeting.
After highlighting the presence of Cuba at this International Book Fair and addressing those present at the UJAT International Linking and Teaching Center, he expressed that promoting reading among young people allows institutions to contribute to preserving essential ideas of time such as equality between women and men, responsibility with the environment and the value of democracy, among others.
Likewise, in the presence of the Municipal President of Centro Tabasco, Yolanda Osuna Huerta and the Secretary of Culture, Ramiro Chávez Gochicoa, he emphasized that the University is present at the event with 23 book presentations, which account for part of the editorial work of UNACH academics and researchers.
Prior to his participation in the protocol act of the official opening of the Fair, Natarén Nandayapa received the state authorities and the UJAT, at the UNACH stand, installed to receive thousands of students and society that will meet to enjoy this meeting that will host more than 150 activities.
