Kuwait City: Security departments are continuing to conduct extensive checks to find law-breaking expatriates in Kuwait. Last day, the authorities conducted a surprise inspection in Salmiya. The entrances and exits of various roads in the vicinity of Qatar Street were closed.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, criminals and those staying in the country in violation of residency rules were mainly targeted. Security personnel stationed at the entry and exit points of the roads checked the documents of each. The inspections were led by Education Sector Assistant Director General Major General Sheikh Fawaz Al Khalid, Coordination and Follow-up Department Assistant Director General Brigadier General Khalid Mahmood and Joint Committee Team Leader Muhammad Galaud.

The Ministry of Interior has announced that many expatriates who had been in Kuwait for violating the residency rules have been arrested. Traffic violators and street vendors were arrested. Their sponsors are prohibited from entering into service transactions with the government. The inspection team also caught an Indian who was selling liquor illegally. 35 locally made bottles of liquor were seized from him. After the relief of the Kovid crisis, extensive checks are being conducted in Kuwait for law breakers.
