Very early this Saturday morning, February 24, 2024, the public prosecutor at the Siguiri court of first instance went to the remand center to inquire about the realities and the state of this prison house. The search lasted in a few hours.

Questioned at the scene, prosecutor Ibrahima 1 Camara did not fail to give warnings to the prison guards.
“We are listening to citizens, when I was informed that there was a fraud operation which was sponsored from the remand center, this is why we organized it this mission. We carried out a systematic search of the remand center and found several telephones. We have instructed the prison manager to take his responsibilities. If, however, the same thing continues, we will be forced to take our responsibility,” he warned.
It should be noted that the number of phones seized within the prison grounds has not been determined by the prosecutor.
