An undeclared rave party was held on Sunday in the forest of Abreschviller, in Moselle (eastern France), not far from the border with Germany, where the police intervene to carry out an evacuation, a- we learned from the authorities.

“The event has not been declared, the gendarmerie has been on the scene, as well as the National Forestry Office, since yesterday,” said Anne Lecard, sub-prefect of Sarrebourg, local representative of the State.

“It’s far from the center of the town, it’s in the middle of the forest, there is no noticeable neighborhood disturbance,” she added.

She mentioned a “significant” deployment of the gendarmerie, without giving further details on the number of agents mobilized, while a first count reported 200 vehicles on site and potentially 400 participants in the rave-party.

“But this balance sheet has already diminished last night,” tempered the sub-prefect, who evokes a non-definitive figure.

“An evacuation was planned for this morning, it is done gradually depending on the evolution of the situation, the difficulty is that there are still people who are not fit to drive to leave”, said explained Lecard.
