Lightning struck a tree there. According to Alexander Baumbach, press spokesman for the Wittenberg district, a horse died in connection with this lightning strike.
A total of seven operations were scheduled at the district control center from 6 am onwards. According to Baumbach, among other things, the underpass in Pratau was flooded up to the curb and had to be pumped out. No personal injuries were recorded. In Reuden, the fire brigade was called to pump out an entire cellar.
Overall, the Baumbach district spokesperson told MZ on Sunday, that the situation was not as dramatic as the previous week. As reported, on June 21, a thunderstorm cell with heavy rain and hail caused extensive damage in the area. Pratau, Wittenberg and Gräfenhainichen were particularly influential.
