A two-day training workshop for journalists in the Northern Province region has been held under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program by the Ministry of Mass Media.
The workshop was held yesterday (01) and today (02).
In the inaugural event of this workshop, Jaffna District Secretary Ambalavanar Sivabalasundaran, Jaffna. Prof. Kalanidhi S. Raghuram, Dean of the Faculty of Arts of the University participated as guests.

Also, former Director General of Government Information Department and foreign news analyst Mohan Samaranayake, Right to Information Commissioner Advocate Jagath Liyanarachi, Sri Lanka Press Council President and Senior Lecturer Mahinda Pathirana, University of Colombo Sripali Campus Senior Lecturer Nayana Suravi, Director of the Ministry of Mass Media K.P. Jayant, Director (Development) of the Ministry of Mass Media Ms. Sevwanthi, Legal Officer of the Ministry of Mass Media Yureka Velarathne, Media Analyst of the United Nations Development Program Chaturanga Habu Parsham, the workshop was effectively conducted.
