The singer has issued a statement on Monday stating that her mother Patricia Carey and sister Alison Carey died on the same day. ‘Without You’ fame Mariah has said in this very emotional statement that she is heartbroken and she wants to request people to ‘respect her privacy’ in this ‘impossible time’. In her statement to ‘People’s Magazine’, Mariah Carey said, ‘My heart is broken that I lost my mother last weekend. Sadly, my sister also lost her life on the same day. I feel blessed that I was with my mother in her last moments. I request everyone’s love and support during this seemingly impossible time, as well as respect for my privacy.’ However, the singer has not given any information about the cause of death.
Her parents got separated when she was 3 years old
