Unicaja Foundation collaborates with the Malagueños Friends of Families of Rehabilitated and Marginalized Association (Amfremar) in a project for the socio-labor integration and empowerment of women in the Eastern district of the capital. In total, fifty users of this NGO who are unemployed and at risk of exclusion participate in a program to improve their professional skills, promote their self-esteem and combat gender stereotypes.

The women benefiting from this program, which runs for one year until September 2024, participate in group and individual job search workshops, professional skills and job intermediation sessions, to connect them with companies that need to hire personnel.

With the aim of promoting self-esteem, developing assertive communication skills, strengthening social cohesion and teamwork, and promoting gender equality, users receive support in “circles of trust” and will carry out activities such as writing workshops, debates and film-forum on films and documentaries that address issues related to the reality of women.

Under the motto ‘Now it’s me. “I want, I can and I deserve it,” the initiative seeks to reverse the situation of job, social and personal precariousness of these women, who make up 70% of the users currently served by Amfremar.

Women interested in participating in this project can contact Amfremar at the email [email protected] or by calling 952 20 27 49 / 640 303 605.

The Unicaja Foundation’s support for this program responds to its social commitment and interest in promoting actions to combat inequality among people and groups in vulnerable situationin addition to promoting gender equality.
