Unidentified Drones in Kuwait Central Prison; One is caught and the investigation is on to find out who is behind it

Kuwait City: Reportedly, three unidentified drones attempted to fly into the Central Prison of Kuwait. One of the drones was intercepted by the authorities, but the other two flew back to unknown destinations. According to a report published by Al Jareedah daily, the incident took place at the Central Prison Complex in Sulaibia.

The drones attempted to land in the outer courtyard of the Central Jail. On noticing the incident, the authorities seized one drone but the other two flew back without being caught by the officials. Officials said one drone flew in the direction of Sulaybiyah and the other in the direction of Al Riqa.

Security officials of the Central Jail have started an investigation into the incident. They will investigate why the drones came to the jail and for whom such a move was made. The seized drone has been handed over to the General Department of Criminal Evidence to collect evidence including fingerprints. The jail department asked the Criminal Investigation Department to monitor the two drones that flew back.

The steps were taken on the instructions of Major General Abdullah Safah Al Mulla, Assistant Undersecretary of Department of Correctional Institutions in Kuwait. On Saturday, the Department of Correctional Institutions and the Special Security Force jointly conducted a search in the Central Jail. Seventy mobile phones, several cables, chargers, internet access devices, knives and intoxicants were seized from the prisoners.
