The University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusofonia ended the year 2023 with a total of 21 research projects approved by funding agencies: Fundação Cearense to Support Scientific and Technological Development (Funcap), National Council for Scientific and Technological Development ( CNPq) and Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes).

The merit of this achievement goes to the institution’s research professors, who are involved in research and postgraduate studies. The approved projects are distributed among nine different notices: Universal Notice CNPq N.10/2023 (04 approved projects), Notice of Transdisciplinary Studies in Public Health No. 21/2023 CNPq (01), Notice of Support for International Scientific, Technological and Innovation Research Projects N.14/2023 CNPq (01), Universal Notice No. 06/2023 Funcap (06), Pro-Humanities Notice N. 07/2023 Funcap (02), Post-Doctoral Notice N. 09/2023 Funcap (03), Visiting Researcher and Senior Visitor Notice N. 10/2023 Funcap (02), Internationalization Notice N. 08/2023 Funcap (01 ) and Notice of Support Program for Events in the Country – PAEP N. 11/2023 CAPES (01).

About the notices:

With the aim of supporting research projects that aim to contribute significantly to the scientific and technological development and innovation of the country, in any area of ​​knowledge, the Universal Notice of CNPq N.10/2023 provides for resources of R$ 165,000.00 (Range A) and R$ 275,000.00 (Range B). The CNPq Transdisciplinary Studies in Public Health Notice No. 21/2023 aims to support studies to identify post-covid conditions and their associated factors, as well as care, treatment and rehabilitation strategies; support studies to assess the impact of post-Covid-19 conditions on quality of life and health outcomes.

The CNPq’s notice of support for International Scientific, Technological and Innovation Research Projects N.14/2023 aimed to encourage proposals for international research projects that aimed to contribute to the scientific, technological development and innovation of the country, through granting of scholarships abroad and funding resources, in all areas of knowledge.

Funcap’s Universal Notice No. 06/2023 provides for total financing of R$10 million for approved projects that aim to contribute to scientific, technological development and innovation in the country, in any area of ​​knowledge. The Pro-Humanities Notice is expected to cost R$4 million for projects in the major areas of human sciences, applied social sciences, linguistics, letters and arts.

Funcap’s Post-Doctoral Notice No. 09/2023 aimed to promote scientific, technological and innovation research activities, through the selection of proposals for the temporary absorption of PhD researchers into postgraduate programs In the strict sense based in Ceará.

Aiming to support the qualification of higher education teachers and the creation and strengthening of postgraduate programs In the strict sense and research groups focused on regional vocations, Funcap’s Visiting Researcher and Senior Visitor Notice No. 10/2023 foresees an investment of more than 4 million.

Capes’ Notice of Support Program for Events in the Country (PAEP) No. 11/2023 aimed to provide financial support for the holding of scientific, technological or extension events in the country, of short duration, with international or national coverage, with the offer of financial resources of up to R$160,000.00.

Funcap’s Internationalization Notice No. 08/2023, finally, allocates up to R$800,000 in subsidy to be financed for a period of three years and aims to strengthen internationalization in Postgraduate Programs (PPG) of Scientific and Technological Institutions (ICT) and Innovation of the State of Ceará, considering its particularities and needs, through financing projects that stimulate and develop internationalization actions in different areas of knowledge.
