Unilab is present at the Siará Tech Summit

The University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusofonia (Unilab), through the Coordination of Technological Innovation (CIT), was present at the Siará Tech Summit, which took place on the 7th and 8th of November, at the Ceará Events Center.

The Coordination of Technological Innovation, in partnership with Sebrae de Baturité, organized the transportation of students to the event on the 7th. In total, 38 Unilab students used the transportation to participate in the event as delegates or as exhibitors.

Student Edilson Rogério Cuambe from the computer engineering course participated as an exhibitor, showing a gamified online course platform developed by him. Student Thatcher Encarnação da Cruz, from the Public Administration course, also participated as an exhibitor, presenting the work of Aba-Yomi, a startup supported by Unilab that develops food products that include fruit and vegetable chips made in an artisanal and sustainable way .

Also present were representatives from Engene Jr, Junior Company of the Energy Engineering course at Unilab, and Agrozone, Junior Company of the Agronomy course.

Over the Siará Tech Summit

An environment conducive to discussing, planning and pointing out new paths of innovation, which, over two days, featured more than 50 speakers, in addition to being a special moment for large meetings, which brought together managers, leaders, students, startups, entrepreneurs from different sectors and investors. They were, therefore, gathered to share experiences, encourage new businesses, move the Ceará innovation ecosystem and boost everyone’s development.
