Unilab team makes an institutional visit to the Sesi/CE Innovation Center, to seek possible partnerships

Members of the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusofonia (Unilab) made an institutional visit to the SESI Innovation Center in Economics for Health and Safety (CIS), last Tuesday (02/14). CIS is located in Maracanaú/Ceará and has a multidisciplinary team that works on the development of innovative solutions for the industry, related to Occupational Health and Safety. The institutional visit aimed to get to know the work and structure of the CIS and seek possible partnerships.

On that occasion, the Unilab team was introduced to the structure of the Innovation Center, getting to know SENAI’s Innovation Habitat, which houses companies, spaces for coworking and recording studio. Laboratories, equipment, innovations developed in the space and the CIS workflow were also presented. In addition, the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Professor Carlos Henrique Lopes Pinheiro, made a brief presentation of Unilab to the CIS team, presenting its history and structure.

Representing Unilab were the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Professor Carlos Henrique Lopes Pinheiro; the coordinator of Technological Innovation, Daniel Silva Alves; the manager of the Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation Division, professor Alexandre Oliveira Lima; the Technological Innovation Coordination technician, Raíssa Mesquita Braga; and the director of the Institute of Health Sciences, professor Thiago Moura de Araújo.

The meeting was the result of an articulation between Professor Alexandre Oliveira Lima, professor at Unilab’s Institute of Applied Social Sciences and Manager of the Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation Division, with Bruno Simões, RD&I Coordinator at CIS.
