Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for the year 2023-24 in the Lok Sabha yesterday. Many opposition political leaders are criticizing that this budget does not have any plan to protect the farmers and there is no announcement about employment for the youth. In that line, BJP’s senior leader Subramanian Swamy has criticized that this budget is like a grocer’s bill.

In this regard, he tweeted, “Budget tabled in Lok Sabha today? It is a grocer’s bill. A proper budget should reveal what the country’s objectives are. If GDP growth rate is mentioned, what is the level of investment? What is the rate of return. And economic growth, The country’s resource management plan should be taken out and shown,” he posted.
