Kuwait City: Khalid al-Dakhnan, head of the Kuwait Federation of Domestic Labor Office Honors, has said that domestic worker recruitment cannot be sustained without an increase.

The fee of 890 dinars fixed by the Ministry of Commerce is inadequate. There has been an increase in the cost of running an office, including air tickets, fees in recruiting countries, and salaries and rent. Recruitment is difficult at current rates. It faces competition from recruitment offices in neighboring countries.

Khalid al-Dakhnan said his offices were attracting domestic workers, especially Filipino workers, who could not compete with current rates.
