In the last Insa survey this year, the Union is weakening, the SPD is making some gains.

The Union is apparently having difficulty capitalizing more on the traffic lights in surveys. In the last Sunday trend of the year, which the opinion research institute Insa collected for “Bild am Sonntag”, the CDU/CSU lost one point compared to the previous week and, at 31 percent, are now also one percentage point worse than at the end of 2023.

The SPD gained one point compared to the previous week and, at 17 percent, is two percentage points better than a year ago. Unchanged year-on-year and the previous week, the Greens achieved twelve percent, the FDP fell one point to four percent (end of 2023 and the previous week: five percent).

The only real change this year concerns the new Wagenknecht party. The BSW is at seven percent on New Year’s Eve. The AfD, on the other hand, has lost three points year-on-year and now has 20 percent. The other parties also lost three percentage points (now six percent). The left has fallen from four to three percent. The survey is based on 1,002 people surveyed online and by telephone. The margin of error is 3.1 percentage points.
