An evening of cup across the old continent. Today (Tuesday) Union Berlin from second place in the German league, beat Wolfsburg 1:2 in the round of 16 of the cup. In addition, Stuttgart won 1:2 over Paderborn from the second German league.
In the British Kingdom, Newcastle completed the job against Southampton in the semi-final stage of the FA Cup and won 1:2 in the second leg, after winning the first match between the teams 0:1.
Newcastle – Southampton 1:2
A tremendous double by Sean Longstaff in the fifth minute and in the 21st minute, secured Magpies a place in the next stage at the expense of Southampton, after 1:3 in the summary of the semi-final games. Stuggert pressed, but only found the net in the 86th minute, when Gil Dias fired powerfully into the top left corner to set up a dramatic equaliser. With the momentum in her hands, Cerro Guirasi stepped up to take a corner kick in the 95th minute, hit the frame well and put his team in a dramatic lead two minutes before the final whistle.
