(ANSA) – ASCOLI PICENO, 26 AUG – In the Rsa Ripatransone there is a structural shortage of health personnel, which today has as many as two temporary nurses, and social health personnel and a constant decline in the quality of care in the face of the implementation of fees. This is reported by Fp Cgil, Cisl Fp, Fials, Nursing Up and Ugl Salute who today organized a picket in front of the Rsa of Ripatransone.
According to the trade unions, “if today the contribution that the patient pays for hotel expenses is in line with the regional standard and exceeds 42 euros per day, the cuts to services have been significant and not only is a structure offered that does not even have an air conditioning system that makes the temperature liveable, but even the cut on water has been drastic: half a liter at lunch and half a liter at dinner”.
In addition to the trade unions, the demonstration was attended by a delegation from the Pensioners’ Union, a representation of the families of the guests of the facility, as well as the Mayor of Ripatransone Lucciarini and Councilor Verdecchia.
In a context in which the General Management has, a few weeks ago during the transparency day, represented satisfaction for the results achieved, also making the objectives of the Pnrr its own, in the Health Houses of Piceno the situation is dramatic and even the local institutions have complained about the silence of the AST Management to the requests for meetings that were answered.
For these reasons, since the level of care of the 32 patients hosted at the RSA in Ripatransone is no longer in line with what a quality service should offer and since the staff assigned to this facility is no longer sufficient, the protests of the trade unions, together with those of the families and the local community, will continue and will see new initiatives proclaimed in the coming days to defend the territorial public health system from the hands – increasingly closer – of the private sector.
