UGT and CCOO have decided to postpone the call for strike of the workers of the ‘handling’ de Iberia for Christmas after the opening of a new negotiation framework that will begin with a meeting in which the Government will also participate.

Both unions have held talks with the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to try to find a solution to this conflict, generated after the resolution of the Aena handling tender in which Iberia lost its license at eight airports.

The strike, although it had not finally been called, it was scheduled for the days between December 29 and January 1 and between January 4 and 7 for Iberia’s handling workers. Unions and Iberia agreed on a deadline that ended this Tuesday to reach an agreement to avoid the strike, which finally occurred thanks to the Ministry’s offer.
