“United police will never be defeated”: protesting police go to the Capitol where the debate between Pedro Nuno and Montenegro will take place

by time news

Many of the police officers who participated in today’s concentration at Praça do Comércio, in Lisbon, are occupying access to the Capitol, where the electoral debate between the leaders of the PS and PSD will take place.

Protesters whistle and shout “United police will never be defeated”.

The protest at the Capitol was marked on social media by the ‘Inop movement’ and does not have the participation of the platform that brings together PSP unions and GNR associations.

The Capitol today hosts the debate between the leaders of the PS, Pedro Nuno Santos, and the Democratic Alliance, Luís Montenegro, for the early elections on March 10.

The PSP and GNR elements previously occupied the entire width of Rua da Prata, in downtown Lisbon, without traffic having been blocked beforehand.
