Bangkok: English Premier League football club Manchester United defeated Liverpool in the first match of the pre-season. United defeated Liverpool 4-0 in the match held in Bangkok, Thailand.

It was United’s coach Erik ten Haag’s debut match. Although it is pre-season, the win will give United a lot of hope. Jaden Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri scored for United. Ten Haag prepared a 4-2-3-1 formation with Martial in front. Bruno Hernandez, Marcus Rashford and Jaden Sancho were behind. Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp continued with his usual 4-3-3 formation. Hector Elliott, Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz played up front. United took the lead in the 12th minute after Ten Haag was satisfied.

Fernandez’s cross from the right wing was ignored by the Liverpool defence. The ball fell in front of Sancho. The actor did not waste the opportunity. The second goal was scored in the 30th minute. Fred took advantage of Liverpool goalkeeper Alison stepping forward to catch the ball. The ball chipped over Alisson’s head and into the net. United scored their third in the 32nd minute.

Martial took the ball away from the Liverpool defenders and ran alone into the box to score. United lined up with young players in the second half.

Liverpool also landed their superstars. Facundo Pellistri scored United’s fourth goal on a counterattack in the 77th minute. Amad Diallo rushed up to the box and Pelestri scored the ball with ease.
