The CEO of Unity-Iron Source recently sent an e-mail message to the company’s employees, in which he informed them of an extensive course of cuts and layoffs. According to the company, 284 employees will be laid off. This is the second wave of cuts at Unity in recent times – in June, 225 of the company’s employees were fired. According to the company , the current layoffs are a product of the negative economic trends, among them the weakening of the digital advertising market. Another reason for the layoffs is double job cuts, which apparently accumulated after the merger with Iron Source, which added 1,400 workers to the company. On the eve of the current layoffs, Unity employed approximately 8,000 workers.
