A young man named Tofazzal Hossain was beaten to death in Fazlul Haque Muslim (FH) Hall of Dhaka University. In Jahangirnagar University, there is a commotion across the country over the death of a Jabi student in the lynching. Anyone who sees the video of the beating of Tofazzal Hossain will be shocked. Showbiz stars are also surprised and saddened. The matter has greatly shaken many performers. The stars are busy with ‘Mob Justice’. And artists have chosen social media to express it.

Actress Golam Farida Chanda wrote in a social media post, ‘Rice! I couldn’t watch the video, it’s not possible, without knowing it, tears are falling down my eyes! Are we human?’ In another post asking for justice, Chanda wrote, ‘I want justice. But we are so inhuman that we do not know whether there is justice or not.’

Popular small screen actress Mehjabeen Chowdhury also posted on her Facebook. Throwing the question, this actress writes, ‘Why is gang beating being normalized?’

Actress Kazi Nowshaba Ahmed protested and posted on Facebook. He wrote, ‘There is no need for so many words, I want justice for those who committed mob violence in the name of Rajshahi, DU, Jabi, Mob Justice.’
