On November 3, at the age of 91, American musician and producer Quincy Jones, winner of 27 Grammy awards, who collaborated with such legends as Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson, died.
As Day.Az reports, Quincy Jones was a close friend of the family of the famous Azerbaijani artist Taira Salakhova. His grandson wrote about this on his Facebook page. Kaikhan Salakhovwho presented photographs from the family archive and shared his memories.
“My grandfather Tahir Salakhov, who was lucky enough to know Quincy Jones, often spoke of his kindness and the incredible moments he experienced through their connection and friendship, such as the opportunity to see and communicate with Michael Jackson. Artist and sculptor Aidan Salakhova also posted archival photographs with Quincy Jones on her Instagram Stories, clarifying that the pictures were taken in the capital’s Baku restaurant in Russia.
