A Chennai-based company has opened an unmanned biryani shop. This shop, which sells biryani only in parcel mode, is operating in Kolathuri, Chennai. It is said to be the first automated biryani shop in India.

Called ‘Boy Home Wedding’ (PVK Biryani), the company sells biryani in the traditional Kalyana Bandhi system. The biryani sold there is cooked on a charcoal and wood stove.

Kolathur restaurant has 32 inch screens. Customers can choose their desired meal details, scan the QR code, or pay by card.

A video showing how the shop operates has been released on social media and is going viral.

It features visuals that show how a customer buys food at this store. The customer looks at the food items on the ‘digital menu’ and then orders.

Once he pays for it, the food is ready and comes under the box. The customer receives biryani.

According to the video, there is no need to stand in line or talk to anyone else at an unmanned store.

“I had my meal in four minutes,” says the blogger who posted the video.
He recommends going here for biryani as this shop offers a unique experience.

PVK is planning to open 12 such unmanned biryani shops across Chennai, as its co-founder and CEO Faheem S said, NDTV newspaper reported.

This company promises to deliver food within an hour across Chennai.

Later PVK aims to expand its operations to other parts of India.
