A village market was constructed in 2021 at a cost of Rs 9.50 lakh after demolishing the previous regional transport office under Periyakulam union in Tenkarai municipality D.Gallipatti. In this, 8 shops, 4 health complexes were constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.3.50 lakhs.
Even after two years of construction, no one came to run the shops in the village market. D. Kallipatti- No one comes to the market in the central area of Kailashapattiku. Without thinking about this, the Union administration has wasted people’s tax money of Rs.13 lakhs.
Two years of non-use, anti-social activities are taking place at night.
Disconnection: The union office has not paid the minimum electricity bill of Rs.27,828 to the village market building since 2018 till now. Despite sending several notices to the power board, there was no response.
As a result, the electricity connection of the village market, which was not in use a few days ago, was disconnected.
To be assigned to a government office. There has been a request that Periyakulam PTO and district administration should take action to renovate this unwelcoming village market and shift the Periyakulam Sub-Registrar 1 office operating in a rented building here.-
