Advertising Day, celebrated today, begins the 2024 activities celebrating the Enade result.
The result of the National Student Performance Exam (Enade) added to the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Unochapecó Advertising course. In 2023, the course completed two decades of activities and, with concept 4 in Enade, stands out as the best in Santa Catarina and among the 10 best in the southern region of Brazil. Therefore, the activities for the year 2024 begin on the date of this Thursday (1st) when Advertising Day is celebrated.
The date of February 1st was chosen to be Advertising Day due to Decree Law No. 57,690, of 1966, which regulated the career in Brazil. Since then, the world, communication, media and advertising have been transforming, and the Unochapecó course has always sought to keep up with these changes. With a curricular matrix that ranges from classic theories and initial foundations of Advertising, to contemporary theories, management and digital marketing and their developments, the course seeks to deliver to students, and also to the community of Chapecó, knowledge that offers different possibilities in your professional career and also in your social life. “We understand the importance of reinventing ourselves and looking for new ways to impact the market with credibility. Therefore, we are always thinking about how to innovate, how to be different and how to make a difference”, comments the current course coordinator, Jacira Medronha.
The teacher celebrates Advertising Day and the title of best course in the state: “Celebrating this date along with this achievement reflects the commitment to quality education and respect for the advertising profession. After all, nowadays, the success of a brand or company largely depends on the work of advertisers and the intelligent use of strategic resources.”
MORE REASONS TO CELEBRATE
In addition to 20 years and the Enade result, the year 2023 was one of more achievements for the Unochapecó course. Already with a history of awards at Expocom – Exhibition of Experimental Research in Communication – aimed at the best experimental works produced by students in the field of Communication, seven works were finalists to represent the Uno course at Expocom Sul in 2023. “When a work goes for Expocom it is already among the five best in the South region”, highlights professor Jacira. Of the finalists, the work entitled “De Olho na TAG” by students Amanda da Cruz, Fernanda Engelage, Ketheryn Fistarol and Sionara Bortolini from the PP course, won the “Advertising Photography” award in the regional and national stages, thus being the best work of the South region and Brazil in 2023 in this category.
Furthermore, six works were approved for Intercom Junior in the South region, an academic space created to welcome work from undergraduate Communication students, in which their research carried out during the course is socialized.
And in the final stretch of 2023, Jefferson Miguel Kovaleski’s Course Completion Work was recognized by the national Professor Ricardo Ramos award, a TCC Competition promoted by the Association of Advertising Professionals (APP Brasil). The now graduate of the course came in second place in the Monograph category, with the TCC entitled ”New Iconic Kisses’: Expressions of diversity in the Mercado Livre Advertising film’.
In addition to the awards, the Academic Advertising Week returned, which had not been held since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic; a study trip to Buenos Aires in conjunction with other courses at the School of Communication and Creativity; and the resumption of the Target Cup, which integrates professionals from the job market with Advertising students. Activities should continue in 2024. “It is a year of many new developments, events and creative activities that are already in planning. I would like to take this opportunity to give you a spoiler: the rooster so beloved by students will have a new look. So, write down that on February 19th we will meet at Uno”.
