“See you in August was the result of a last effort to continue creating against all odds,” said the writer’s sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo García Barcha. “Reading it once again, almost ten years after his death, we discovered that the text had many and very enjoyable merits,” they added.

Now, the publication of a new title, just the year in which a decade of his death is commemorated, is considered in advance as the editorial event that will mark 2024, and another evidence of the immortality of Gabo’s work, not only due to the surprise of the unpublished title, but because of the attachment of millions of readers to his well-known novels that have earned him everlasting and worldwide recognition.
