Unsettled weather is again forecast for most days of the next seven-day period with significant rainfall which will maintain good soil moisture levels. There remains the possibility of hail and the risk of damage to agricultural crops – laying of the crops with winter cereals, injuries to the fruits and the knots of the fruit trees.
With wheat, the flowering and grain formation phases will take place, with barley in the southern regions of the country and the beginning of milk maturity. In these phases, surveys for the appearance and development of certain diseases and pests – fusarium head blight and powdery mildew, harmful grain bug – should continue with the winter cereal crops. In the case of corn, leaf formation will continue, and in the case of sunflowers sown within the agrotechnical term, the formation of an inflorescence will be observed.
The last days of the period, when the probability of rainfall decreases, will be more suitable for carrying out the seasonal agrotechnical activities and carrying out plant protection spraying against mantis on vegetable crops and vines, brown rot on stone fruits and scab on seed fruit species.
