Given the differences between the two, Chilavert blocked Marinoni on Twitter, which was disseminated by the lawyer on his social networks.
“This blockade is a consequence of what happened the day before. Yesterday I called Chilavert at my office, he came with a trusted person and there I explained to him the reasons why I will no longer be his lawyer, nor will I give him any more political or business advice. Faced with this situation, he blocked me,” Marinoni said in dialogue with La Mañana De Unión on Unión TV and radio La Unión.
In that order, he accused Chilavert of not having paid his professional fees despite the legal work carried out. “He never paid me anything. What’s more, I spent for the trial, ”he stressed.
The lawyer stressed that he defended the former soccer player in three punishable acts that he faced, of which he was convicted in only one and in the remaining two he was acquitted.
He clarified that “it is not about the process or the defense due to any disagreement in that regard.” “These are purely private issues. Unfortunately, this man’s conduct is not consistent with what he had when he was a player. The Chilavert player is one thing and the Chilavert person is something else, ”he lamented.
Marinoni left the subject biting, stating that “later on they will surely find out about other actions that we will be taking.”
The most remembered case in which Marinoni defended Chilavert was the one he faced against the president of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), Alejandro Domínguez, for defamation and slander.
