TRENTO. I Carabinieri of the NAS they seized 63 forms of cheese in a mountain hut in Trentino where they discovered a dairy production carried out in failure to notify the health authority.
The intervention of the military – the Arma informs – occurred following the report made by a Station Command of the Rovereto company. Overall, the Carabinieri have approximately 189 kilograms seized of cheese, for a quantified value of approximately three thousand euros.
“The operation confirms the information collaboration between the territorial force and the special force in Trentino, which allows the NAS soldiers to receive qualified information even from the most distant valleys”, says the commander of the NAS of Trento Federico Silvestri.
The seized products will probably be destroyed, while the manager of the mountain hut will be fined for failure to notify the health authority of the production activity and failure to trace the food produced. NAS checks have intensified throughout the summer to ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations also in the mountain huts and to ensure food safety.
