Unvaccinated State Duma deputies can be transferred to a remote location

State Duma Chairman Viacheslav Volodin instructed the commission of the lower house on regulations to work out the issue of transferring deputies who refuse to be vaccinated against coronavirus to remote work. The speaker of the lower house of parliament said this at a plenary meeting of the State Duma on Thursday, October 28. Earlier, Mr. Volodin reported that the overwhelming majority of the deputies of the eighth convocation of the State Duma (92%) were vaccinated against COVID-19 or had been ill.

“There is a proposal to entrust the commission for the regulation and maintenance of the activities of the State Duma to the nearest council (Duma.— “B”), which will be held on November 8, and then, if necessary, bring this issue to the plenary session of the State Duma, develop proposals that would allow those deputies who do not accept vaccinations and for some reason do not get vaccinated (against coronavirus – “B”), work remotely, ”said Mr. Volodin.

Mr. Volodin promised that the deputies sent to remote control will be able to express their position either through a faction or through a commission on regulations, where the deputy will have to speak on a particular issue.

Earlier, Vyacheslav Volodin said that 5% of the deputies were not vaccinated against the coronavirus in the United Russia and LDPR factions, 10% in the Just Russia For Truth faction, 18% in the Communist Party faction, and in the New People faction – thirty%.

Over the past day, 40,096 cases of coronavirus infections have been detected in Russia, which is the maximum since the beginning of the pandemic. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 8,392,697 people have contracted the virus.
